In Harpur-4, Nawalparasi, there is a pond nearby the devisthan (temple). An interesting story revolves about how the pond came into existence. In the ancient days, people of this area raised many buffaloes. The dung was collected in a certain section of the area and slowly a huge thumko i. e. hill was built of dung. Later, water was collected around the surrounding lowlands and a pond was originated. The hill was then named Gobarkot. This hill is religiously valuable and mandirs of Ramjanaki, Hanuman, dharmasalas built nearby it, has enhanced the religious importance more.
